Details

When opening Mozilla mail it ask whether or not you want to compress to save
space. I answered yes. Then it asks for a password to fetch new messages. I gave
my password. I got some new messages (53 I think, 5 of them in my Inbox) While I
was replying to previous messages, the compaction process continued. When I
finished my reply, sent it off. Came back to my Inbox, all my new messages had
dissapeared.

I don't know about the 40some other messages that got sent to other folders with
my filters, but this seems like a very nasty bug to me... (I have no way to get
these messages back do I?)

Navin, are you sure this is a dup? Wasn't auto compaction checked in around the
same time as the fix for the bug this is dup'ed for? I'm just checking because
it would be scary to lose data like this. Yasselin, what build are you running?
I am pretty sure this is a dup because the dialog that yasselin says is the 
auto-compact dialog. 
I am running the 0.9.3 build for linux. It seems to be the same one as 91731 but
it's definitively not resolved.

It is indeed a data loss situation, I didn't have the leave message on server
option on so I can't seem to get these messages back (hoping they were all spam)

Please mention the build-id you are using, when you log a bug. This should be 
fixed on a build from 08-01 onwards.
