windows ix test machines sometimes take a long time to launch bash from ssh

I noticed this a couple of days ago -- sometimes these machines can take multiple minutes to launch bash after the SSH connection starts. I initially thought that this might be because they lacked a .bashrc, but further testing proved that wrong. Now it's looking like only the first connection after some period of time takes a long time to launch. Eg, if you connect to a machine, disconnect, and quickly reconnect the shell launches quickly. If you log out again, wait 10 minutes, and log in again it will take a long time to start the shell.

This isn't super high priority, but it's kind of a PITA. I don't remember this being the case when these machines were first set-up, so it makes me wonder if some of the changes from bug 909421 affected this in some way.

This seems to be getting worse and worse. I just waited at least 3 full minutes when trying to logon to t-xp32-ix-102 - and bash still didn't launch. I ^C'ed it and got to the cmd.exe shell, though. I think this might be affecting slaverebooter's ability to reboot machines, too, which kindof sucks.

Any chance this can be investigated soon?

The fix is bug 853321, replacing the crappy version of ssh.
