Steps to reproduce:

when using headphones with Firefox nightly YouTube with HTML5 option video plays fine but audio starts playing on speakers happens with vimeo sometimes.


Actual results:

the audio gets cancelled out from headphone and starts directing it to speakers when its switched off.


Expected results:

The audio should be playing in the headphones rather than speakers.

Could you please try the following :

1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

I have tried with the current update ' 29.0a1 (2014-01-23) ' and with safe mode / clean profile, still the same the audio still plays on the speaker rather the headphone when all the other audio output is on headphone.

I cannot reproduce this locally. 

Can you try this with older versions of Firefox?
Can you try this with different headphones or a different computer?
Can you try this in other browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari)?
Can you make sure your drivers are up to date and your audio settings are configured correctly?

Apart from that we'll need to know specifically what hardware you are trying to use so we can attempt to replicate this on site.
