Because of bug 863201 we couldn't use transparent PNG for all settings icons. Therefore they all have a solid background (that was bug 840627).

Recently the background color of Settings was changed and as a result we see the icons' solid background.

Hi Julien,

I think this will be taken care of by these two bugs:
941628 - updates the background color of settings
932833 - Updates the setting icons to use background (gifs)
