Steps to reproduce:
Open a local document on file:///, choose Print... > Print to file. If you just hit "Print", Firefox claims it's priting something (Progress bar and all), but no file is actually produced.
Similarly, if the file (e.g. output.pdf) already exists, Firefox does not ask about whether the file should be overwritten.
ONLY if you change/choose the filename before printing (changing the destination folder has no effect on its own), the file is actually created.

manday, do you still see this problem when using a current version?

Can't test, as my box is currently wayland gtk3 only and firefox still doesn't support that. As far as I recall, I haven't the experienced the problem on any other boxes, so can close as fixed. I can reopen it if it should happen again.
