b. attached a picture to the message
c. send the message and redo a-c again
d. tap the top-left button "<"
e. tap the message just sent
f. kill the app
g. relaunch the message app
h. go into that message

expected result:
2 message should be sent and it should show 2 message

actual result:
only one sent

Does this reproduce on 1.1 or 1.2?

I was unable to reproduce this issue on a Buri device running the latest available 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 builds.

With the steps provided, on returning to the message thread, both MMS images are displayed when carrying out step "h".

It should be v1.2 base image of Buri and mozilla-central(master) gecko/gaia.
I will try again now

It is not reproducing anymore in v1.3 & v1.2. I think this is fixed somehow.
