Description

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.3+)
Gecko/20010807
BuildID:    2001080703

The pictures on this page link to bigger versions which are opened in new
windows via javascript. This won't function, when this page is open in a new
window (go to www.hardocp.com and click on the link "they do a hell of a job
with just plain ol' spray paint." in the section "[H]ardNews for Thursday, Aug
9th, 2001 - Second Ed"). Instead of showing the larger pics in a new window,
mozilla does nothing. After the second click, the throbber disappears and with
each further click, memory usage grows rapidly. After this mozilla won't quit.
It has to be killed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to www.hardocp.com
2. Click on the link "they do a hell of a job with just plain ol' spray paint."
3. In the new window click on the pictures right left to the text.

Actual Results:  No new window.

Expected Results: A new window opens and shows a larger version of the picture.

To reproduce this bug, you have to open the bit-tech page via a link in a new
window. Directly openig this page doesn't show this problem.

Confirming bug with the same build ID, 2001080703 WinNT. As the reporter
states, if you access http://www.bit-tech.net/?page=article&id=69 directly,
there is no problem. When you click any picture, you get a new child
window with a larger version of the picture.

But if you access this URL via the "they do a hell of a job.." link at
http://www.hardocp.com, then no child windows come up.

Here is the DHTML that is supposed to bring up a child window:

<a
  href="javascript:openwin2('http://www.bit-tech.net/images/articles/69/1l.jpg',
                            'portwin')"
>

function openwin2(url,wintype,winheight,winwidth)
{
  window.name="mainwin2"

  if (wintype=="portwin")
    window.open(url, wintype,
               'toolbar=0,location=0,directories=0,status=0,menubar=0,
                scrollbars=0,resizable=1,width=500,height=660');
}

This has been fixed apparently in the meantime. I can try as I want, but the
pics are showing correctly everytime. I think this bug can be resolved as
Worksforme. Am I, as the reporter, allowed to do this?

Ok, as I already noted, this has been fixed some time ago, thus marking Wfm.
