User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131125215016 Steps to reproduce: open several tabs including the page http://gamemakerblog.com/2013/11/25/gamemaker-studio-standard-edition-is-currently-free-50-value/ on a background tab and leave the browser open overnight. Actual results: When i returned firefox cpu usage was 97% according to OSX activity monitor and was slow and unresponsive until closing the above tab. Expected results: Firefox should have used little to no cpu wile idleling overnight and not require closing the specified tab to become usable again.
daf, is this still happening? I was unable to replicate it. Have you tried the steps here? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-uses-too-many-cpu-resources-how-fix Thanks!

I have since then moved away from OSX and Firefox so I'm no longer able to do any testing on this bug.
