We need a way to notify dashboard visitors about certain events and info (such as data being out of date, data problems, upcoming/released features, etc).

The simplest method is probably to embed a twitter widget linking to a specific "telemetry notifications" account, then give myself and other stakeholders privilege to tweet using that account.

Please add a twitter widget to the dashboard so we can communicate notifications to dashboard users.
I set up @MozTelemetry for this purpose, and myself, :taras and :jonasfj all have access to send updates.
Notifications are now available at the bottom of the dashboard thanks to :taras.
