What are the technical/legal reasons/limitations why a developer would want to opt out of the automatic APK generation?

I understand https://wiki.mozilla.org/User:Clouserw/APKFactory#Use_case:_developer_opt-out but is it a legitimate use case for which we should prompt the developer?

Re comment 1 and comment 2: Yeah: If people already have an android app or are planning on making their own, or they own their own signing key already and don't wants us to generate one for them are the biggies. Once an app is signed the key can't be changed and our v1 doesn't let a dev upload their own key.

We're reverting the idea of letting the developers to opt-out from APK generation. Once they have decided to have the app published to Android, we're making it easier for the enduser to find and manage the very same open webapp (but as an APK generated on the fly).

None of the user story is valid for v1. Closing this bug.
