Region code: Plomassy
Device: Inari/ Geeksphone
Connection: Wi-Fi/ Data
Phone number/MSISDN: (52) 5542361949/ (52) 55 5533858544
Language: English/ Spanish
Carrier: Movistar
Last 4 digits CC: 0595 Mastercard. 1691 Visa
Test App used: MarketPlace/ In-app.

Step to reproduce the failure:
1. Turn the cellphone on.
2. Go to "Settings".
3. Select "Cellular & Data".
4. Go to "Mobile Network".
5. Turn off "Data Connection".
6. Go to "Wi-Fi".
7. Turn on the service.
8. Go to MarketPlace.
9. Search for a pricetier from Pricetier5 to Pricetier15 (purchase only with CC).
10. Click the Pay button.

Observed behavior:
In the Bank Statement the price is in Pound Sterling and differs with the one that appears in the MarketPlace, which is in US dolars.
In Mexico, the Bank statemanent is available 3 days after the purchase and the amount varies in MXN cents each day, and in the online version of the Bank Statement do not show the original value of the expense, only the value in Mexican Pesos.
We can see that difference once the Bank Statement is received in paper, which was received yesterday.
The amount in CB purchases are correct.

The prices vary depending upon exchange rates, bank costs and the like. I'm cc'ing tom and steve to check the numbers look somewhat correct.

This price should be charged to the users credit card in USD and the bank converts to the credit card currency it should not be charged in GBP
The payments will be processed in whatever currency the Credit Card processor can convert in. If they do not process USD in Mexico then they will use a different currency. We can change the displayed currency on screen if required?
Tom, can you share with us a copy of the credit card statement from your testing? If we can see the charge going onto a bill in USD and being converted I will close this bug. If not it is a launch blocking bug

Jessica, can you confirm if you normally buy something in USD on this card that it is processed in USD and then converted to Mexican Peso?

The Credit cards Visa and mastercard, were opened specially for the project, therefore no past movements, only buys with bango, but we will buy a product in dollars for this check as soon as possible
Priority: -- → P1
Bango scheduling the development of the fix, unlikely to even be in development this side of Christmas
Version: 1.4 → 1.5
Target date for fix will be known by the 14th of Jan
Live date is 28th January.
This has been successfully tested in Bango test environment and released to our PROD. It has been tested in prod and we can prove it works.

Please retest this in MP Staging.

Tom, Did you test this with a US card or Mexican card? I am wondering if there is some difference between the cards you and Eder are using for testing
We tested with a UK credit card which was charged in USD and subsequently converted to GBP.

I can see the tests that were processed and they were all forced through in USD. Nothing else we can do.

29 Jan 14 21:52:11	1383902365	2030132305	MEX_MOVISTAR	MEX	MEX	VISA	1691	MEX	mex	DATACASH_GBP	3300103017689245	RPT	OK	2.99	USD
The image shows a successful process of the transaction in USD. The issue is the amount not matching and that is probably becuase the credit card company will add the tax on at the end such is the way with Mexican companies. operators have a habit of doing this as well. UK cards add the tax immediately per transaction. Other countries add tax on at the end of the month for the whole total.
I think the problem here is a conversion issue now. The price is MXN$45 which relates to US$2.99 in Mozilla's table of pricing. However, becuase since those prices were set the conversion rate has changed, US$2.99 now converts to MXN$39.91.

Mozilla passes Bango 45.00 and 2.99 which Bango then pass the 2.99 onto the CC payment processing company for billing. Datacash bill 2.99 but when the Credit Card owner looks at the card statement they see different amount because the Credit Card company has converted 2.99 into MXN and the result is 39.91.

Does that make sense?
Eder, can you check with the Bank and confirm that it is USD that is actually charged to the statement?

The bank statement is reflected in the february month as USD
