I heard we manually enter machines in slavealloc, rather than auto-porting at least the basic slave record from inventory database.

I would propose that we feed slaves into slavealloc automatically, if we have a way of identifying the machine as a slave in slavealloc (e.g. based on configurable naming conventions, etc).
