User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131112160018 Steps to reproduce: I had an active download so I opened the download manager window to follow it (clicked menu Tools->Downloads). Since the download manager window was opened after the main window, it appeared after it in the windows taskbar. (I am using a vertical windows taskbar so it appeared below it. Normally it should appear right to it, when using an horizontal taskbar). Actual results: After a while, a short hang occurred, and immediately after that the two windows switched location in the windows taskbar - the download manager window appeared before the main Firefox window, as if it was opened before it. Expected results: The two windows should stay in their original position. This bug seems as a minor issue, but I think that it hides much bigger bugs, such as download manager failure to download after this switch occurs.
do you still see this with newer version? (In reply to t8av from comment #0) > This bug seems as a minor issue, but I think that it hides much bigger bugs, > such as download manager failure to download after this switch occurs. unrelated

No longer valid. * Bug 747422 — the downloads window was replaced with the downloads panel in Firefox 20. * Bug 928349 — the browser.download.useToolkitUI preference to re-enable the window was removed in Firefox 26. If you continue to experience hangs, see the following support article for help. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/firefox-hangs-or-not-responding If at that point you continue to experience problems and you suspect a bug, see the following article. https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines
