I would like to add optional English subtitles to the six State of Mozilla executive videos, in order for the L10N team to localize accordingly. I have full transcripts written for each executive speech but am not sure what the next step should be to get them added to the site.
Mozilla has supported and used Amara, formerly known as Universal Subtitles, to localize videos. Looks like the SoM 2012 videos have already been added to Amara and subtitled by community members:

http://www.amara.org/en/teams/mozilla/

So Mike may want to make sure those English subtitles are collect, then we can ask localizers to add their translations. Pascal might know more about the process.

oops, my spell checking worked badly... s/collect/correct/
a/ English transcript should be put on Amara by the staff that manages the videos on Amara (I don't know who puts our videos there), the subtitles should be carefully synced with images. Since there are already subtitles, they should be checked for correctness and good syncing.
b/ The webdev team needs to integrate amara js into the SOM page
c/ l10n-drivers can then spread the word among our localizers about the localization

a/ and b/ should be done before we spend time on c/

Mike, are you OK resolving this WONTFIX? It's a pretty minor task but we don't have the dev resources to work on this.
