RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 944976

Details

Currently Firefox may only be launched either in metro or on desktop. This is problematic for metro users: when desktop session is needed (Google Hangouts call, debugging with DevTools, etc.) the user has choice of either loosing data from tabs (text field input, state, whatever) or delaying desktop session until all opened tabs are dealt with (months with some workflow).

User should be able to run two side by side, or preferably as many of metro and desktop windows as he wants. IE allows at least two metro "windows" and multiple desktop windows.
A viable option is to replace "New window" entry in desktop Firefox jumplist with "New desktop window" and "New metro window" entries; or make this entry a menu with "desktop" and "metro" choices inside.

Separate launchers for Metro and desktop Firefox would also do the trick, albeit this approach doesn't seem to sit well with current policy.
You can currently do this, although it requires configuring the two browsers to run in different profiles. (like we did before we turn profile sharing on).
