User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131112160018 Steps to reproduce: I received an invitation with an ICS attachment Actual results: The following message is displayed on the message pane: "No writable calendars are configured for invitations, please check the calendar invitation" http://i.imgur.com/12a2TlI.png Expected results: I should have been able to write the appointment to my Google calendar. I have checked my set up, and it seems OK. I'm using the private URL for my calendar, and everything else works fine.
The calendars created using Provider for Google Calendar extension don't support invitations. Please use a calendar that supports invitations if you want to use the invitation feature.
@Stefan Thanks, does this mean, a user is not able to accept invitations for their google calendars? I have a google calendar with his private xml link, add this to lightning via the GData provider. Reading and modifying calender items is possible, but I cannot accept invitations. The same message "No writable calendars are configured for invitations, please check the calendar invitation" appears.
I have SM 2.26beta + Lightning 3.1b + devnav. I am able to synchronize the events from my Google calendar to Lightning in both sides. But in case I get the vcf or ics invitation email, I am not able to accept the invitation in case of having active my "google calendar" in Lightning, which is on network, it works only when I have a local calendar installed. I tried to search for a solution, but nothing worked. Only to be sure I confirm, that the value of calendar.google.enableEmailInvitations I have set true in SM config. In case of having active the "google calendar" I get the error above "No writable calendars...." and I miss the buttons "Accept"..... When having active the local calendar, I have the buttons and I am able to transfer the invitation into the calendar.
There has been a major rewrite of the Provider for Google Calendar between version 0.32 and 1.0. A vast number of bugs have been fixed during this rewrite, therefore I am closing lots of old bugs that I think might either be fixed or no longer apply to the latest version. Please read the updated FAQ [1] for details on known issues. If you can reproduce your issue with the latest version of the Provider for Google Calendar and you can't find an existing bug that handles your case, please reopen this issue. Thank you for your understanding. Also, check if you have your email identity set up in the calendar properties dialog.
