the Search query in the search bar returns insufficient / in complete list of mails. i.e. some of the recent mails with the matching search criteria are missing from the displayed result.


Actual results:

some of the recent mails with the matching search criteria are missing from the displayed result.


Expected results:

all the mails in matching criteria are to be displayed.

This bug is 3 years old and does still exist? I came across this bug report as I experience this/a similar issue. I will, however, open a new bug report as my FF version is 49.0.1.

This bug report is about Thunderbird, not Firefox. If your problems is in Firefox, then yes, file a new bug.

if this means the quick search bar, there is an additional observation:

search a mail (e.g. by sender) in quick filter bar. Some recent emails are missing.
Goto edit-> search> search messages with same search criterion. More emails are found.

Now, also the quick search bar can find these messages.

Question: does one search use gloda, the other some other means? In any case, activity manager thinks gloda is complete (no pending work).
