User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131205075310 Steps to reproduce: All of my mail accounts within Thunderbird that required SSL/TLS authentication failed after the update to version 24.2.0 The mail services are hosted with Google and GoDaddy and in both cases neither are having problems their end and I can use the webmail for each as well as non-TLS/SSL support on the same GoDaddy account. I decided to remove the accounts and restart thunderbird with all add-ons being disabled, I then tried to re-add the accounts and despite the correct settings being detected, the error "Configuration could not be verified - is the user name or password wrong" appears even though both are correct. File -> New -> Existing Mail Account -> enter in valid details of a Gmail account -> clicked DONE -> Wait -> unable to validate Actual results: "Configuration could not be verified - is the user name or password wrong" Expected results: The dialog should have gone through the next steps and created the local mailbox. Prior to deleting the mail accounts, what should have happened was that the mailbox should have updated, instead the error appears
Can you click the Manual config instead of letting TB validate the account data?
