Justification / Special Instructions:

Right now we're coordinating ad-hoc via private email threads, but as more people want to pitch in with e10s and sandboxing, we need a list.  There's one for e10s, but the sandboxing work being done in parallel should be separated since it has different goals than the e10s project (though they overlap).

I'm not sure if the tech bit is necessary, but admittedly I don't quite grok the difference between the dev.tech.* and dev.* subtrees.

Also, "sandboxing" or simply "sandbox"?

dev.tech was for specific named technologies; in hindsight, it's probably over-hierarchical.

Request for newgroup sent to giganews.  Once giganews confirms the creation, I will turn dev-sandbox advertised setting to "ON" so that people can find it and sign up.

I tried to post to this newsgroup today and the post did not show up in my nntp subscription -- and it did not bounce.  Additionally, it's not been picked up by google news so there are no archives.  Is there still work to be done on this forum before it's operational?

Sid - I will investigate further. I didnt verify when I received the confirmation from giganews

Sid, this has happened to a couple of new groups.  This is the only response I have from google and giganews has yet to respond.  I have followed up just now with both organizations.

Investigating, we did create the group in the dataset for our nntp servers on 2014/01/10, but it apparently hasn't been synced to Google Groups yet.

rbryce: looks like it's synced with google groups now, and posting via google groups works.  NNTP can also see the existing messages but my messages *posted* via NNTP do not work, though.  Any ideas?

rbryce: google groups is working and NNTP download seems fine, but posting via nntp is still not working.  Ideas?  Sorry to keep bothering you, but I really want this fully functional before we start using it (which we have been needing for a while).

Sid: looks like the newsgroup may have been created as moderated. Giganews is looking into it, and hopefully fixed soon along with other newsgroup work we have in the pipe.

Giganews reports that the newsgroup should be properly configured now.  Please test, and let me know if messages are flowing as expected.
