Salesforce Project Overview: Between Mozilla’s growth and our transition to a multi-product organization a need has developed for a sophisticated way to track external contacts, relationships, and conversations across many internal teams and product lines. Especially as we begin to scale Firefox OS and Marketplace. This tracking also needs to be specific to each team’s individual needs while feeding into a centralized repository.

Today, Mozillians use a variety of tools and processes to manage their external relationships. These are frequently not streamlined within a team and are poorly shared (if at all) with other teams/departments.

Example tools; Email, GoogleDocs, Etherpad, etc.

Project Goal: Establish a tool that will enable multiple teams within Mozilla to manage their external relationships and activities from a centralized location.

This project kickoff is being created to review the Salesforce project (phase 2) customizations that we are contracting a 3rd party to perform.

Here are the primary goals/needs of this kickoff form

- Review legal agreements provided by contractor (Perficient)
- Understand what (if any) requirements Mozilla will have for Perficient to move forward
- Create PO and achieve finance approval for the $43,200.00 purchase against the Perficient SOW
