Netscape 4.x offered the following options in its preferences window (Mail &
Newsgroup -> Window Settings):

[ ] Double-clicking a folder or a newsgroup opens it in a new window
[ ] Double-clicking a message opens it in a new window

These options, when *unselected,* allowed a user to (in the case of the latter)
view all messages in the same newly-opened window.  If the user wanted to open a
message in a second window, he or she could do so by right-clicking the desired
message and selecting "Open Message in New Window."

In NS4.x, I make sure that the second option is *deselected* because I find it
annoying to have to constantly close already-read messages.  I feel this option
should be carried over to Mozilla (which always opens messages in new windows,
which I have to manually close once read).
