The plugin button at the start of Location Bar should behave like a toogle button, when clicked, if there is no addon dialog already opened, open one, if the dialog is already present then close it.
This way one can avoid a mouse move to the close button on the popup's top-right corner if the user does not intend to take action on the dialog, just views it.
This works fine for me in a current nightly. Probably fixed by bug 596723.
