Steps to reproduce:

1. Visit [ http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products ]
2. Long tap on a link. For example, "Android" [ http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/mobile/features ]


Actual results:

Nothing happens


Expected results:

Context menu to appear, allowing me to open the link in a new tab, share the link, etc.

Thanks for the report. Which version of Firefox are you testing with? Which device and Android version as well?

When I long-tap on Android in Nightly, I get a context-menu as shown in the screenshot.

I'm testing the current Firefox Aurora 28.0a2 (2013-12-16) on a Nexus 7 (2012 edition) running Android 4.4.2 (Build Number: KOT49H)

My Add-ons:
- Always Zoom 1.0
- Adblock Plus 2.4
- Tap Translate 0.2.0

It seems to have gotten worse: with this update, I can't even long-tap on text to select it.

I will try to disable my Add-ons and try again.

Update: confirmed that the problem is due to the Tap Translate 0.2.0 Extension. With that extension disabled, the context menu and long-tap to select text works.

How do I report this to the extension author?

Let's make sure we're also not doing something bad here. This is the second add-on to cause problems with the new action-bar selection mode (see bug 943901). This also might be fixed via bug 943901 too.

If it turns out to be something the author needs to correct for future Firefox version they can be contacted here by probably filing an issue against the add-on: https://github.com/miraks/Tap-Translate/issues
