Since thunderbird-24.1.1 it runs about 15 minutes too slow. On German gentoo forum this is confirmed. http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-978662.html?sid=529a1af0bdbd721a147d015d8257ccc7
By default the red line (time indicator) changes his position every 15 minutes, exactly at 00', 15', 30' and 45' of an hour, so if you watch the line at an hour such as 10:29 you will see it in the position corresponding to 10:15, instead, at 10:30, it will be in the right position. Does it work in this way on your system? If 15 minutes is a time interval too long for your needs, you can change it by editing the preference calendar.view.timeIndicatorInterval with the Config Editor. You can eliminate the time indicator by setting a value equal to 0 in the preference.
That solves the problem. Thank you! I think this option should be documented or have an dialog in the normal calendar preferences.
