Details

Reproduce : I type the beginning of an email address present in an address book : th Autocomplete proposes one address match in a submenu (correct) thc@scort.com I hit TAB (or left click elsewhere) to go to the next input field, without selecting the unique match. The address field is set to th@<localdomain> Netscape 4 behaviour was : TAB or LEFTCLICK autocompletes to the addressbook match rather than using @LOCALDOMAIN.
Platform : Mozilla/0.9.3 (build 2001080110/Windows NT 4.0 Workstation)
Precision : The problem only occurs when the match is on an LDAP directory *AND* you enable both address book search and LDAP directory search. If you disable the address book search (in Preferences>Addressing) then the TAB autocompletes correctly to the LDAP directory match... but you lose the autocollection facility. If you don't use an LDAP directory everything works fine... but you don't have your LDAP directory addresses available.
Summary: Using TAB on address doesn't chose unique autocomplete match → Using TAB on address doesn't write the (unique) LDAP match
Component: Mail Window Front End → LDAP Mail/News Integration
Corrected in Build 2001093008. Marking as duplicate of bug 101498. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 101498 ***
