When the user clicks on a website link in an email, the user gets a confirmation prompt asking if the link should be opened in the browser. After pressing "OK" the Browser is opened for a split-second but then returns back to the email. If the user presses the home button then opens the Browser app, the web site that the link directed to is open. Repro Steps: 1) Updated Buri to BuildID: 20131218004002 2) Open the Email app and set up an account. 3) Send an email to the account that has a web site link. 4) Open the mail in the test device and select the link. 5) Press "OK" once the confirmation appears. Actual: The Browser app opens briefly, but the returns back to the Email app. Expected: The Browser app would be opened and the web site that the link pointed to will be opened. Environmental Variables: Device: Buri 1.3 MOZ BuildID: 20131218004002 Gaia: a99b23e73fe5630a877004746d0e7fcec1b6d653 Gecko: 369bdbff6c38 Version: 28.0a2 Firmware Version: V1.2_20131115 Repro frequency: 100% Link to failed test case: https://moztrap.mozilla.org/manage/case/2889/ See attached: Screenshot
This issue does not occur on 1.2. When the user selects the link in the email, the Browser app opens and stays open and the website is opened.
