I'm debugging a bootstrapped add-on. After I have disabled, the add-on I bring up about:memory and check Verbose and then select "Measure" I see these errors on the console: ERROR addons.manager: Exception calling provider mapURIToAddonID: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE) [nsIChromeRegistry.convertChromeURL]" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: resource://gre/modules/XPIProvider.jsm :: XPI__resolveURIToFile :: line 1627" data: no] XPIProvider.jsm:1627 No chrome package registered for chrome://unitedtb/content/util/fetchhttp.js I assume that the memory manager is trying to create aURL linking to the file, but of course it is no longer loaded. These errors should not be displayed since they don't provide any useful information - the add-on is no longer loaded.
And on a positive note, about:memory rocks. I finally had the chance to use it to debug some problems with my restartless add-on, and it gave me exactly the information I needed. Was able to track down why my files weren't unloading and fixed it.
Nils knows about the add-on measurement parts here!
