Description

6 years ago
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131205075310

Steps to reproduce:

I try to display an image in CSS :
 background:black url('./my-image.jpg') no-repeat center;
 background-size:contain;

See the result here : http://www.luigifab.info/public/bad-image/test.html

Actual results:

The image is displayed with a bad quality.

The image size is 4000x3000 or 907x786, yes it's big for this example, but, for my application (slideshow in "full-screen"), the screen size can be 1024x768 or 1920×1080 or 2560×1440, so I think I need use an image with a bigger resolution, i.e.: image resolution > screen resolution.

Expected results:

Better quality, like in Chrome/Chromium.

Could you attach a screenshot (as PNG) of the rendering on your screen?
