Can't download my buddy list from Gadu-Gadu account. No problem downloading gtalk list on connect. If You would need any details including buddy list please let me know. I don't want to publish it here.

Is Gadu-Gadu list actually stored on remote server?
Can it be stored local-only?

It is stored on server but You can store it locally after download (don't need to sync it every connect)

It would be nice to have button (sync contacts list)

I'm using Instantbird 0.3 beta and it's still impossible to downloada Gadu-Gadu list. As I said at IRC channel, in Pidgin everything works fine with this protocol.

There are multiple comments confirming this problem, so confirming the bug. 

But could someone please confirm this is still an issue in the latest nightlies (or even IB 1.1)?

1.3a1pre is the same as 1.2 currently, so I'd expect them to be the same.

I don't think any of the developers use Gadu-Gadu (or even really know how it's supposed to work), so this is kind of hard for us to look at. How does this work in Pidgin? Do you have to manually click on a button or something to download the buddy list? Or is it expected to just be downloaded the first time you connect and that's not working?

Good morning!
In Pidgin there's a button for manual requesting of the contact list retrieval. once clicked it pulls the list from the server and imports it to the local DB of Pidgin. In addition there's also an export button for manual pushing of any changes to the list to the GG servers for Back Up purposes.

It looks like this will be fixed in libpurple 3.0.0 [1] with automatic synchronization of the buddy list.
