*** Original post on bio 37 by Kamil Brzezinski <brzezinski.kamil AT gmail.com> at 2007-11-19 09:34:00 UTC *** Can't download my buddy list from Gadu-Gadu account. No problem downloading gtalk list on connect. If You would need any details including buddy list please let me know. I don't want to publish it here.
*** Original post on bio 37 by V. Kamerrer <nayklost AT gmail.com> at 2007-11-21 23:54:06 UTC *** Is Gadu-Gadu list actually stored on remote server? Can it be stored local-only?

*** Original post on bio 37 at 2010-07-23 23:02:42 UTC *** Here's another user with this problem: http://log.bezut.info/instantbird/100722/#m203 Comment of flo: "I know the gadu-gadu plugin has been significantly changed in newer versions of libpurple, so it may help to try once our nightlies get the latest libpurple" [In this comment: nightlies are "0.3a1pre", latest libpurple is "2.7.2"]
*** Original post on bio 37 at 2011-03-09 20:34:04 UTC *** Mass-change: Reassigning to nobody all the bugs in the NEW or UNCONFIRMED status where I'm the assignee because I used to be the default assignee of the component.
*** Original post on bio 37 by harlock <harlock AT tlen.pl> at 2011-06-22 06:18:27 UTC *** I'm using Instantbird 0.3 beta and it's still impossible to downloada Gadu-Gadu list. As I said at IRC channel, in Pidgin everything works fine with this protocol.
*** Original post on bio 37 at 2012-02-13 21:46:55 UTC *** There are multiple comments confirming this problem, so confirming the bug. But could someone please confirm this is still an issue in the latest nightlies (or even IB 1.1)?

*** Original post on bio 37 by Marcin Kaczorek <kaczus AT gmail.com> at 2012-08-10 14:22:11 UTC *** bug still present in 1.3a1pre
*** Original post on bio 37 at 2012-08-13 01:52:44 UTC *** (In reply to comment #8) > bug still present in 1.3a1pre 1.3a1pre is the same as 1.2 currently, so I'd expect them to be the same. (In reply to comment #7) > The bug above is still the case for IB 1.2. Please, take a look at it. I don't think any of the developers use Gadu-Gadu (or even really know how it's supposed to work), so this is kind of hard for us to look at. How does this work in Pidgin? Do you have to manually click on a button or something to download the buddy list? Or is it expected to just be downloaded the first time you connect and that's not working?
*** Original post on bio 37 by Paweł Masarczyk <pawelmasarczyk AT gmail.com> at 2012-08-13 06:38:58 UTC *** Good morning! In Pidgin there's a button for manual requesting of the contact list retrieval. once clicked it pulls the list from the server and imports it to the local DB of Pidgin. In addition there's also an export button for manual pushing of any changes to the list to the GG servers for Back Up purposes. I hope it helps. Thanks in advance. Have a nice day. Paweł
*** Original post on bio 37 at 2012-08-13 12:45:59 UTC *** (In reply to comment #10) > In Pidgin there's a button for manual requesting of the contact list retrieval. > once clicked it pulls the list from the server and imports it to the local DB > of Pidgin. In addition there's also an export button for manual pushing of any > changes to the list to the GG servers for Back Up purposes. It looks like this will be fixed in libpurple 3.0.0 [1] with automatic synchronization of the buddy list. [1] http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/9463
Mass-change: It looks like the BIO->BMO migration script didn't handle the "Reset Assignee to default" case.
