Under Windows XP Pro SP2 Ver. 2002, Instantbird crashes right away after invoking.  Screenshot of the crash dialog attached.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022).  Click on OK" etc.

Otherwise, IB looks very promising.  Help me get off AIM, Obi-wan!

This looks pretty much like an access rights problem on some Windows library (dll).

Any news on this? Was the link of any use? If that was not the issue, did it ever happen on the nightlies or the early 0.2 releases? 

If not, we could close this bug as soon as we have a new release (it's a pretty old version, reported a year ago, no response with further details, .. ).
