*** Original post on bio 433 by John Doe <buggy AT mailinator.com> at 2010-07-03 11:54:00 UTC *** I tried to create an XMPP account with these settings: [x] Require SSL/TLS [x] Force old (port 2223) SSL I noticed that connect over SSL didn't work, so I unchecked the first checkbox: [ ] Require SSL/TLS [x] Force old (port 2223) SSL It still tried to connect over SSL only. I had to uncheck the second box to allow insecure connections. I expected "Force port 2223" to mean "WHEN connecting over SSL, use port 2223". By unchecking "Require SSL/TLS", I already told it to allow insecure connections. I shouldn't have to uncheck the "port 2223" option for that to work.
*** Original post on bio 433 at 2012-03-09 22:41:34 UTC *** Hasn't been confirmed, and I don't think the settings exist in this form any more anyway.
