*** Original post on bio 700 at 2011-02-18 18:09:34 UTC *** Azat, thanks for providing an immediate workaround! I don't think the existence of a workaround necessarily means the enhancement request is invalid though. I don't expect the "average user" to know how to edit a CSS file. An average user may however well need an increased font size for some reason (high dpi display, poor sight, ...).

*** Original post on bio 700 by Guillermo Ferrero Ferri <gferreroferri AT gmail.com> at 2011-02-19 06:47:09 UTC *** Yes, this is not obvious. I tried to do the modification myself in one of the themes, but when I zipped it again and renamed as jar I had problems. Do I need to use some special tool to create the theme? Where can I find a theme guide? *** Original post on bio 700 at 2012-02-17 01:17:40 UTC *** Sorry for the late reply! (In reply to comment #3) > Yes, this is not obvious. Where can I find a theme guide? One way to do it would be to edit (create if it does not exist) the userChrome.css file in your profile's chrome directory, which can override the default Instantbird CSS. Another way to do it would be via an add-on. (If you modify the files in the Instantbird omni.jar directly, they will be overwritten with every update, which is not so convenient.) You are welcome to visit the #instantbird IRC support channel if you have any questions, need help etc.!

*** Original post on bio 700 at 2012-02-17 01:20:17 UTC *** Isn't this bug actually requesting "make Ctrl-+/ zooming work in the contacts window"? Or is it a larger accessibility issue?

*** Original post on bio 700 at 2012-08-11 15:03:42 UTC *** It would be nice to have this in some form, though it's not clear how one would expose it to the UI. Minimally one could have an about:config pref + add-on.

On the behalf of Florian: Closing bugs related to the Instantbird UI as WONTFIX, as the development of the standalone chat client Instantbird has stopped. Instantbird users are encouraged to migrate to Thunderbird. The user interface of instant messaging in Thunderbird will feel familiar, as the Thunderbird IM support started as a fork of Instantbird.
