I think we can't do anything about this (*) at the moment but at least we know that this problem exists.


(*) The nsILocalHandlerApp that we feed into the Jumplist (see http://hg.instantbird.org/instantbird/file/35ea32c79962/instantbird/modules/ibWinJumpList.jsm) doesn't allow to specify an external icon. It takes the number of a resource from the executable instead: http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/widget/public/nsIJumpListItem.idl#143

I meant nsIJumpListShortcut, not nsILocalHandlerApp up there.

Closing bugs related to the Instantbird UI as WONTFIX, as the development of the standalone chat client Instantbird has stopped. Instantbird users are encouraged to migrate to Thunderbird. The user interface of instant messaging in Thunderbird will feel familiar, as the Thunderbird IM support started as a fork of Instantbird.
