A context menu could make actions like "Resume conversation" (c.f. "Start conversation" for contacts) and "Close" (bug 954414 (bio 980)) available for the items on the list.

Bug 954419 (bio 985) suggested to use "Leave conversation" instead of "Close" or "Quit".

- Add a "Close Conversation" and a "Put Conversation on Hold" item to the tab context menu.
- Localize the strings related to hidden conversations in the Contacts window.
