To meet the upcoming requirements of Mozilla, a recent Direct X SDK will be required. This implies a new Visual Studio too. Thereby, it is easier to prep a new VM from scratch than trying to update the actual one.

I propose to set up the following:
- Win7 32bits
  - Visual Studio 2010
  - Latest supported Direct X SDK

I'll start working on this in a week or two to wait for comments about this.

This is needed to compile with XUL 8 or 9 before this bug is resolved. We can land this patch in the mean time to remove the dependency between those two bugs so this one will still need a quick fix.

Probably quite obvious, but we should use the Windows SDK 7.1 with this as well, and we should probably update to MozillaBuild 1.6, which was just released. (I've done most of a build with 1.6 and it seems OK so far.)

The Windows SDK 7.1 is already included with VS2010. Or maybe it is 7.0. Whatever, it contains everything XUL is capable of using as of now.

For Mozilla Build, yes, I have already downloaded the latest version which is 1.6.

I preped an usb key with VS2010 at work because I lost the iso home and forgot it there so I'm waiting to thing about it to be able to install everything. Everything else is already preped and waits install in the VM.

Well, it seems that the new VM is working. We just need to backout https://hg.instantbird.org/instantbird/rev/e9129718bf4e to be able to close this one.

We still need to backout the patch in this bug before closing it...
