Hi !

I had changed since a month to instantbird, is very wonderful and useful ! lool
But days ago, i want make a msn chat and this is not available :-(

I remember, that with pidgin we can call a chat with one msn friend, and invite others to join our chat ... !

I think it is not so dificult, and it will be a goodie in instantbird, more when it has addons for chat ... !
I suggest the development of this feature !

Regards,
Filipe

Partially transcribed/reworded from [1]:
MSN conversations (at the protocol level) are all MUCs, so it's always possible to add someone, but libpurple (and the chat/ backend) doesn't support changing an IM conversationto a MUC conversation. So when someone is added to an MSN group chat, libpurple would open a new MUC conversation titled "MSN chat".

12:58:50 <flo> and I don't know if Pidgin/libpurple supports inviting someone, but if it does it's with a menu item added by the protocol plugin to the conversation, or something similarly poor UX-wise.
13:31:16 <flo> we could probably support it, if someone had enough interest in it to define a good UI for it, and write the code
