When installing a new theme [using a third party application] not all the windows borders of Instantbird change in accordance with the Windows theme, like the way they should. However, MOST of them do change their windows border properly, those who do not change still retain Aero window border.

The windows on which it works have an unchanged theme (compared to Fx). The ones on which you see the problem are the ones where we modified the theme to slightly show the Aero effects (i.e. the background is not completely opaque on these windows).

I've no idea why that should affect the window border though.

Can you reproduce this? If so, we should confirm the bug.

I'm not eager to install a third party theme just to verify this bug. I hope this statement is not too blunt but I doubt that non-MS-themes are widespread enough to be worth the work. I've never seen one installed in the wild.

non-MS-themes aren't a supported feature of Windows, if I recall correctly. I don't think this is something we should be concerned about fixing.

If someone figures out the issue and wants to provide a patch, feel free to reopen this.
