*** Original post on bio 1729 at 2012-10-16 08:53:00 UTC *** I see these system messages in my twitter timeline for each failed reconnection attempt: 10:45:58 - Your account has been reconnected. 10:45:58 - Your account is disconnected. Steps to reproduce: - Have a twitter account attempting to connect through a socks proxy that doesn't accept connections (eg. a closed SSH tunnel). In the account manager, the error message is "offline" (that could probably be improved a lot!), and I see "connected for a few seconds" flashing very briefly. In the error console I see some messages like this, but I've no way to tell if they are related or not: Timestamp: 16/10/12 10:48:17 Error: this.target is undefined Source File: jar:file:///Applications/Instantbird%20-%20Nightly.app/Contents/MacOS/omni.ja!/components/imConversations.js Line: 268 (I assume they aren't, but I'm pasting it anyway just in case.)

Bug 1445778 removes support for Twitter due to changes in their streaming API.
