*** Original post on bio 1977 at 2013-05-25 16:15:00 UTC *** Maybe it would help to have an add-on that adds an option to configure the username of IRC accounts (for bouncers). This way we'd just have to point bouncer users to it instead of having to explain that over and over again. (There's no "Other" component in "Add-ons" where I could have filed that. That's not a bad thing since I'd be afraid it might be spammed with all sorts of add-on requests;)

*** Original post on bio 1977 at 2013-05-25 21:47:05 UTC *** I don't expect it to be common enough to justify including it by default. On the other hand: having to look up the account id to create the proper preference name is bad UX even by about:config standards.
