I have configured a few helper apps like gv for postscript and acroread for pdf files. When I click a url for such a file, a new blank mozilla window is opened although the file is going to be handled by an external application. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.3+) Gecko/20010806

Dup of bug 102380? Or was this bug happening with a normal click (rather than "open link in new window")?
Works for me now ... seems to have been a profile problem. Mozilla can recognise the pdf mime-type and correctly opens it in xpdf without any blank windows. No need for an entry in helper applications either. Anyway, the bug was not a dup of 102380 ... the blank window used to come up even for a normal click.
