User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 Iceweasel/28.0a2 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131215004001 Steps to reproduce: Started firefox (user_pref("browser.startup.page", 3);) Actual results: The words I had last sitting in the Google search box at upper right were gone!

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I am spending less time on Session Restore these days, so let me dispatch you to Tim.

This might indeed be a nice enhancement but I'm not sure whether it really belongs to sessionstore. There possibly arguments for doing that but it might also better to store that with the search settings such as the currently selected search engine? Would we store a single value for this per session or a value per window as each of the windows' search fields might have different contents?
