Actual results:
The words I had last sitting in the Google search box at upper right were gone!

Indeed, it would be an interesting enhancement.

This might indeed be a nice enhancement but I'm not sure whether it really belongs to sessionstore. There possibly arguments for doing that but it might also better to store that with the search settings such as the currently selected search engine? Would we store a single value for this per session or a value per window as each of the windows' search fields might have different contents?
