There is no way to disable a plugin without removing it. In NS 4.x, one could
choose between three options on a MIME-by-MIME basis: save to disk, external app
or plugn (if available). This third option is missing in mozilla.
I have the Acrobat reader plugin in Mozilla 0.9.3 which successfully embeds PDFs
in the browser page. However, I decided I prefer to view my PDFs in the
external reader. Even after adding a MIME preference for the external app, the
plugin is still selected.
There should always be the option to override the plugin without removing it,
preferably for any MIME type.
I guess this is XP. The issue have been floatin around for a while. Shrirang, do
you remember if we have a dup?

This is covered by an RFE for a Plug-In Manager (which I agree would be pretty
cool!)
