Hello Localizers,

*Background*: 
Starting in early Feb 2014, Marketplace will have an Editor's Pick feature, promoting apps that are either worldwide event (FIFA), regional specific (highlighting apps that may be unique to a particular country), or for certain type of people (busy moms, or small business), specific interest or activity (travel), and of course I am only listing a few scenarios here.  Sometimes it could be features applicable to broader markets, and some may be just one or a handful countries.  Right now I don't have mock-ups to share with you but if I have seen the concepts.

*String location*:

*Use*:
The editor finalized this list of strings he considers "evergreen", meaning these are common or neutral strings that would get used over and over again.  He would have his "library" created, and pull the strings when he creates the promotion of the day or week.  These strings will come handy as he pulls them in through a curation tool, and puts the strings together.  

*Deadline*:
- P1 by end of January: Your language is already made available on Marketplace "country" drop-down menu
- P2 by early February: Your language is not on the Marketplace drop-down list.  Some of these languages are already supported by the carriers. 


*Long Term*:
We will have short descriptions of some apps in the future.  For better planning, we will have a calendar of what's to come in a month so it will help coordinate the community resources.  We will have a different sets of strings to work on.  I was told that the descriptions for these apps will be under 50 words per app.  

*Tool*: 
We are looking for ways that you can translate directly to a system (not spreadsheet through google doc or other forms of attachments), and this system can be connected to the curation tool to avoid human errors by non-speakers.

Peiying, there is a bug. See string: "Apps for Czechoslovakia". Maybe you mean "Czech Republic"? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czechoslovakia - no such state at this moment.

Hi Scott,

Please check the google doc to see all the languages translated except for Turkish".  In the meantime, when you get a chance, plug in the strings so the communities can start testing, and possibly change some terms after they see the context.
