Build ID: 20131205075310

Steps to reproduce:

Bettersurfer just appeared on everything I went on today. I use Firefox as my browser.

I tried to uninstall Firefox and restart and then install Firefox again, the pop ups are still everywhere

Actual results:

Nothing changed, the bettersurfer and ad choice ads pop up still

Expected results:

I hoped they would have gone after trying to uninstall

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Unless the better surfer software was installed due to a vulnerability in Firefox, this bug is invalid.

That is not to say, you don't have a problem that needs to be fixed. It appears that http://malwaretips.com/blogs/bettersurf-virus-removal/ has some help on how to uninstall this thing.

Did you install any software, or add ons just before this appeared? That is probably where you got the 'infection'. You should be careful about installing software from unknown sources. Once you do that, you potentially hand over your computer to viruses or other malware.
