I've been using FirefoxAndroid on my phone for a while quite happily. I recently was given a Nexus 7 tablet and I've discovered that there are some odd inconsistencies between the tablet UI and the phone UI.
The biggest one for me is the way the tab list is shown. On the phone, the tab thumbnail and the close button are separate, and it's easy to hit the close button. On the tablet, the close button is in the corner of the thumbnail and it often takes me 3 or 4 tries to hit it instead of just switching to that tab.
Also it's a little weird that it's horizontal instead of vertical, but I guess that's because we have the space to be horizontal or something.

This isn't so much a problem with tablets as a problem with the landscape layout. You'll also see the issue on your phone if you turn auto-rotation on and hold it in a landscape orientation. FWIW, I think it's even worse on phones - trying to hit the target area for the close button on my samsung galaxy y (2.5" 320x240) is almost impossible.

Note that you can swipe tabs off the screen to close them.

That's hardly what I'd call an easily discoverable interface. Perhaps if a bin icon was shown when you press & hold a tab it might be more obvious (similar to how the default android home screen handles deletion of shortcuts/widgets), but as it stands there is nothing that suggests you can close a tab by dragging its icon.
