95933 - can't start mailnews from menus or icons

current linux CVS:

Building on full errata RH7.1, i can now only start mailnews from commandline
(./mozilla -mail) 
Anything else just spawns a chromeless blue empty window.

i have no idea what this is - just guessed component since it doesn't seem to be
mailnews as such. No error msg'es - just the blues. There isn't a trace of a
toolbar or anything. Just default mozilla blue in an otherwise empty window.

fwiw: it's an optimize -O2 build, gcc 2.96-85

I've been building on Solaris 9 with Workship 6.1 and, since sometime
mid-yesterday, I've had the same exact problem with my builds---
MailNews windows open up with just the background, nothing else.
I'm building a from the sources as of 8am yesterday to verify.

FYI- The regression seems to have been introduced between 3:30pm and
6:01pm PST on Aug 17 according to the builds I've done of dated CVS
checkouts.  MailNews works fine with a 3:30PM build and fails with
a 6:01PM build.
