Reporter I am sorta seeing this on Windows 95 but does not seem that bad. I did
see it more on a slow machine. However I think it is more just a way the reflow
of part of the page is done and not really a true bug. Maybe more just the way
the page is reflowed.
using 8-28-01 build.
Reporter could you add more details so we can truly confirm this?

At the request of tingley and deniade, I'm confirming this bug on Win2k
(2001082803). It's been occuring for the past couple days.
I do use a proxy (Web Washer, www.webwasher.com), but it's manually configured.
My box is a 728 MHz Athlon w/ 512 MB RAM, so I think you can discount the
slow-machine theory, Alan ;).

Propose nsdogfood, as this bug makes triaging quite difficult.

This testcase causes Mozilla to lock up for a good 15 seconds or so, at least
for me:

Marking WFM 2001092208 on Win2k -- this bug seems to have magically been fixed
within the past few days (and, believe me, I used to see this bug *all the time*).
As always, please reopen this bug if it still occurs for you.

Be very careful - the testcase mentioned below (bugzilla search) will cause the
Search tab to suck all the results out, and for large searches that's VERY
expensive (there's a bug on that).
Is the problem actually gone? There was a hack put in to get around the Search
problem at least when the sidebar is off (evil hack). The URL above would not
be affected either way by the search stuff.

Dennis: Have you tried this with a fresh profile? You can manage/create profiles
with "mozilla -profilemanager"
