There is a resized 1000x1000px image (and two smaller resized ones) parallax-scrolling in the background that may be responsible for this: If I remove `backgorund-size` with the style editor and/or remove their container elements, scrolling gets much better without any resizing resp. each container removed.

Hi Florian, I have tested this with Mac OS X 10.10 on Nightly 46.0a1 build and I wasn't sad :)), it works for me. Do you have the same problem if you run the test with a new version of Firefox? Thank you for your time.

Hi guys, Strange behavior, on Ovidiu's iMac this is indeed not reproducible. But I have managed to reproduce this slowness on latest Firefox release (43.0.4) and latest Nightly build (46.0a1-20160112030227) using an old iMac (Late 2009 Core 2 duo) with OS X 10.10.4. I have to scroll for about 7 times on Firefox and only 3 times on Safari or Chrome to reach the page bottom. Considering this I am marking this issue as New and update it's component. If someone considers that it's not the right one, feel free to change it with a more appropriate one. Thanks, Paul

Actually we changed the Landing page considerably since 2014. So it might be a different problem.
