When selecting "message->mark-all read" while reading newsgroups, the entire
display locks up until the task is complete. I'm unable to switch other desktops
or apps.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a newsgroup with many postings
2. download postings
3. select "messages->mark->all read".

Actual Results:  The X-Window system locks up

Expected Results:  X-Window controls should respond to events.
fixed after the frontend in the folder_outliner was rewritten.
Builds later than Aug. 15th are OK. Marking dup of bug 81859
