Some of my findings were previously reported in bug 758862, but have largely gone ignored (said bug is marked as resolved). Because of this and because I'm not sure this issue is even related to that, I decided to file a new bug. I've been noticing similar bad text rendering on various pages for a while now. It happens on Windows XP and 7, both with and without HWA. It seems to be related to window size and what other page elements are visible, so reproducing can be tricky. Here are some examples: 1) http://zeldaspeedruns.com/leaderboards/mm/any Starts out bad on page load, resizing window vertically will eventually fix the text permanently until page refresh. 2) http://fail0verflow.com/blog/2013/espresso.html Text only seems to be bad if any part of the background is visible. Resizing and scrolling the background away will fix the text. Text breaks again as soon as the background reappears.
